DC: Ninja's Tale: One

- Jinno is walking around the village holding hands with his wife Son. They look at the sky and stare silently at the stars. Jinno then wipes his wife in front of him and holds her close to his body. He looks into her eyes silently and smiles.-

Jinno: I'm ready.
Son: For what Jinno?
Jinno: I think that I've done enough over these many years. I'm getting old darling. We are getting old.
Son: That's very true.
Jinno: This village will need a new protector. A new leader to take my place.
Son: What about Felina? She shows the most potential... even Andoro would make a great leader.
Jinno: I can't just go to my daughter and appoint her the new leader Son. I don't need any of the townsfolk getting into an uproar. Besides...I have something different in mind.

- As Jinno begins to tell Son his plan she silents him with a finger.-

Jinno: So (muffled)
Son: Jinno do you hear that? I think I heard Felina screaming...

- They look eachother in the eyes in then at Felina's home. They make their way over quickly and pause by the door.-

Felina: (giggles) Come on stop that Andoro! (shrieks) You are so mean don't put that there! You tease! Andoro no! NO ANDORO!

- After Felina giggles again Jinno opens the door and barges inside the home with Son on his tail. She pumps into her husband who is stopped cold by what he sees. Son looks past him and figured out why. Felina covers herself with a cover and Andoro falls out the bed.-

Felina: Father! M-M-Mother?!
Jinno: Huh... we huh...
Andoro: Its...not....what....it.....yeah it is. I told you we should've quieted down...
Jinno: We... heard noises and...Sorry.
Felina: Well we are married father...I mean...
Andoro: This is kinda embarassing...they saw me!
Jinno: We'll....huh...leave now. Good night you two.

- Jinno and Son leave the room and close the door. Felina and Andoro hear Son say something as they're leaving.-

Son: Damn Jinno... he's bigger than you.

- Felina and Andoro look at eachother.-

Chapter Eighteen: The Announcement

- The next morning Felina awakens to find her husband no longer in bed. She sits up and exhales softly stretching and running her fingers through her hair. When she opened her eyes Andoro was standing there with a tray of breakfast food. She smiled at him as he sat the tray in front of her. He then kissed her and walked out the room. She looked down and inhaled the foods auroma. She grabbed her eating utensil and began to eat her meal.-

- Later on in the afternoon Andoro and Felina are found sparring by the meadow. Felina sits against a tree and wipes the sweat from her forehead. Andoro collapses at her feet completely out of breath.-

Felina: You've gotten better Andoro. You still lack my strength but you've definitely matched my speed.
Andoro: Come on Felina... We are a team. I play the support role. You've always been the strongest of us. You can read peoples movements better than anyone in the village. Yet what gives you your age is your ability to forsee their attacks. But what you lack is defense. Which is where I come in. We balance eachother out.
Felina: Ok...fair enough. Why don't you like power?
Andoro: It can corrupt those who let it. They become arrogant... cocky. It weakens them. We've watch to many of or brothers and sisters die because of power.
Felina: With the bad...I'm sure there is good in power.
Andoro: Oh... there is. Why do you want to be strong Felina?
Felina: So I can protect my village! I can't relay on someone to save me all the time. I have to be able to protect myself and my village if necessary. That is why I want to be strong.
Andoro: You are a prime example of the good that comes from having strength.
Felina: Now that I think about it... your...other form...its way stronger than me.
Andoro: My other form is different from me. It is used to excerise demons and that is it. It is not strong at all.
Felina: Denial....
Andoro: Huh?!
Felina: (giggles)
Andoro: (giggles)

- Felina hugs him and the too share a hearty laugh again. Kazuya walks out from behind  the tree. Felina and Andoro look at him and get up. They followed him to the Great Hall and met with Jinno.-

Jinno: Now that we have everyone here... I have an announcement to make. Tomorrow... I will be holding a tournament. This tournament is open to any and all shinobi who feel that they can take on the responisbility of leading this village. In a few years... I will be stepping down and the winner of the tournament will be stepping up. If you think you have what it takes to become a leader then step forward. Please state your name and your shinobi title. We are a strong village. We are strong people. I only want what is best for everyone and for myself. I will be hosting the tournament. Good luck.... to all who enter.

- Jinno walked out the room and Kazuya came forward.-

Kazuya: As much as I would like to enter myself...I'm to old for this so. Please if you would like to participate in the tournament then stand and present yourself to me so that I may record your name.

-Felina looked at Andoro and whispered into his ear.-

Felina: This is it...Andoro lets enter the tournament.
Andoro: I won't fight you.
Felina: You are just as good as I am now please. Do this for me.
Andoro: I...(sigh) ok.

-Someone stood up and shouted out their name.-

Tsuichi: Tsuichi the Shinobi of Fighting Spirits
Sakura: Sakura the Kunoichi of Fire
Zankuro: Zankuro the Shinobi of the Strong
Felina: Felina the Kunoichi of Destiny
Kakujiko: Kakujiko the Shinobi of Soaring Wind
Hinata: Hinata Kunoichi of the Gates
Yazuka: Yazuka Kunoichi of the Freezing Tundra
Andoro:...

- Kazuya looked up and studied the room.-

Kazuya: A lot of you rose up to the challenge than I though. Is no one else entering? Anyone?
Felina: Andoro...please.
Andoro: Andoro...The Shinobi of Redemption.

-Kazuya smiled and put his name down. He looked up again and studied their faces. All but Andoro's seemed confident.-

Kazuya: You are all strong and all of you are elite ninja. Give it your all tomorrow. I have faith in all of you. You are all dismissed. Please get prepared for tomorrow.

-As everyone begin to leave Felina pulled Andoro off to the side.-
Felina: Andoro... what's wrong with you.
Andoro: I...have this feeling... and I can't shake it.
Felina: It's going to be fine alright.

-Felina kisses Andoro and hugs him. The two go back to their home and get prepared for the next day.-
